To be considered eligible for a prescription for natural medicine in Australia, you must:

1. Have had a chronic condition lasting three months or longer

2. Have tried other treatments which were ineffective or caused unwanted side effects.

During your consultation, our team of medical professionals will assess your condition, medical history and a range of other factors to determine the best treatment plan for you.

If you are deemed NOT eligible. we will refund your money.

Why aren't our consults FREE or $20

Greenhouse Medical Clinic provides AGNOSTIC PRESCRIBING.

Unlike free clinic consults  or CHEAP CLINICS  where you are prescribed more expensive medications which pay for the medical consultation, Green House Medical Clinic does NOT profit from the products prescribed, giving you access to the most inexpensive and significantly discounted medications available in Australia. This can lead to savings of hundreds of dollars, and in many cases half the cost of the medications scripted.

Greenhouse Medical Clinic also gives you full access to your e-scripts enabling you to pick up your medication at your local pharmacy, or any pharmacy around Australia should you be traveling.

Please note: NOT all pharmacies participate in the medications scripted by our practitioners.

Why doesn’t Greenhouse Medical provide a list of natural medicines?

Greenhouse Medical adheres to strict regulations set by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration. As such, we are unable to disclose specific treatment names until after you've completed a consultation with one of our Medical specilaists and have been approved for treatment.

This approach ensures that a qualified medical professional thoroughly discusses all available options with you before any decisions regarding medical treatments are made.

Greenhouse Medical Clinic differs from a regular GP or health service by working with doctors and Nurses who are not only experts, but passionate about natural therapies. We also work with pharmacies that are experienced in stocking and dispensing these treatments.

If you have already researched or heard about a specific medication, we encourage you to discuss this with our clinic staff.

They will advise if that medication is available* and suitable for you and your health condition and also compare it to other treatment options available to you so you can make an informed decision together.

How long will it take to notice the therapeutic benefits of my medication?

The amount of time it takes to notice the effects and potential therapeutic benefits of natural therapies will depend on your method of consumption, the type of medication consumed, as well as individual factors like your weight and metabolism.

Through monitoring your symptoms as well as careful dosing and titration of your medication, you and our clinic staff will be able to find an ideal dose and medication type for you and your needs.

How do I store my medication?

Always follow the storage instructions written on the box or packaging that your medication came in from the pharmacy. In general, natural medication should be stored at below 21°C and away from moisture and sunlight.

Can I make Changes to my prescription?

As with all prescribed medications, If you are wanting to try a new type of medication that you do not currently have a prescription for or get further guidance from a practitioner, you will need to book a follow up consultation.

Alternatively, if you want to review or make changes to your treatment plan or prescriptions, we recommend booking a follow-up consultation.

The clinic staff can only provide guidance based on the notes provided to us by your doctor or based on the medication information available to us – such as your dosing requirements and how to take your medication.

What should I do if I am experiencing a side effect to my prescribed treatment?

If you believe you are experiencing a negative side effect as a result of taking your prescribed product, please stop taking the medication immediately and contact us by calling 07 5625 3333. Once we are aware of your situation, we will notify your prescribing doctor who will be able to recommend an appropriate course of action. If you are having a medical emergency, please call 000 or present to a hospital emergency department immediately.

Why do we charge for Initial and Repeat Consults? - We do NOT profit from your products.

Unlike cheaper or free consults from other clinics, Greenhouse Medical Clinic receives NO financial benefit that contributes to the cost of your medications.

In some cases this has led to savings of $900 per E-script compared to Medications prescribed by our medical practitioners.

That way you can not only have access to concession or discounted medications, you also can pick up your medication at your local specialist pharmacy or have it delivered to your door.

Am I guaranteed a prescription?

No, you are not always guaranteed a prescription. There are a number of factors considered when assessing your suitability for a medication prescription.

These will include your condition, symptoms, current or past medications, medical history, eligibility (based on current Therapeutic Goods Administration requirements), whether you are pregnant or planning to conceive, and any other relevant factors or contraindications.

If the doctor reviews these factors and deems it not medically appropriate to prescribe you medicinal alternatives, they will not be able to do so.‍ (You will be provided with a refund).

Your health and safety are our top priority, and our practitioners adhere to the most stringent clinical practices.

Can I drive when taking my prescription medications?

During your consultation, your  medical practitioner will discuss your prescribed treatments with you in detail, informing you of any driving restrictions associated with your medications. If your treatment does not contain any of the active ingredient that causes psychotropic effects , you will likely be able to drive as normal.

Some holistic medication is known to have impairing effects. and you may not to drive or operate machinery while being treated with any medication that results in psychotropic effects.

Driving with any detectable amount of psychotropic medication in your system is currently a criminal offence in all states in Australia (except Tasmania), even with a prescription.

What is my E-scripts lists products out of stock?

Select: My Script is DISCONTINUED  or OUT OF STOCK

We will contact the pharmacy and the Doctor and request for substitution.

This E-Script will be sent from the doctor directly to the pharmacy if deemed out of stock or discontinued. We will advise you via email when you will be able to pick up your substitution medication. Thank you for your patience as we do everything we can to make this process as seamless as possible.

The quickest way to change your dispensing pharmacy is to simply take your e-script to the pharmacy you choose to dispense your medication, and have them email us for additional paperwork.

What is a or repeat interval? (dispensing interval )

A repeat or dispensing  interval refers to the time period between consecutive refills of a prescription medication. It indicates how frequently a patient can obtain a new
supply of the medication without needing a new prescription.

The purpose of repeat intervals is to help prevent excessive or inappropriate use of these drugs, reduce the risk of dependence or addiction, and enhance patient safety.
Attempting to refill the prescription before the designated time will lead to refusal by the pharmacist.

What if I am with another clinic?

Patients interested in a transfer to our clinic.  must NOT have any active scripts and will be required to provide a Discharge Letter from their previous clinic.

We understand that the are times where an employer and or travel to certain locations might require more information that a standard patient certificate. Greenhouse Medical Clinic is unable to provide a medical certificate of this nature as we do not offer in person consults.

Greenhouse Medical allows patients to use whichever pharmacy they choose. We do not require the use of a specific pharmacy or operate a vertically integrated system that controls or profits from the dispensing of medications.
Because of this, we are unable to access your dispensing records or determine how many repeats you have remaining. The most accurate way to find this information is to consult directly with the pharmacy you used to dispense your medications.
